My work explores the female human body and portraiture with a palette of muted, pastel tones with hints of contrasting acidic colours. I like to touch on the line between beauty and ugliness by creating distorted, hyperrealistic portraits of grotesque women painted in soft, floral colours. I also like to create the illusion of layering in my figures and portraits, with various mediums. My work is both distinctively inspired by a traditional aesthetic, and a fresh, modern one.
